You say that I can install Winaero Tweaker as a portable app i.e. just extract the files. I presume this would enable me to put it on a USB stick, for example. It would be awesome if WinAero Tweaker had a way to display the mouse cursor instead of the standard item that looks like the default mouse icon for Windows Vista. (the X I mean)
On rare occasion, I want to select an item in the task bar, and sometimes I just have to use the mouse to do it, and sometimes the mouse just wont work. I also have issues where I might click something, and it might react as if I have clicked another item on the bar.
Right now, there are several issues, and I would like to see how they are fixed before I report them. First, when I want to reset all of the Windows Store apps to the WinAero Theme, it doesnt actually reset the apps, it just resets the default fonts. Also, it doesnt actually reset the text on the open/close/minimize/maximize icons on the WindowBlinds windows, it just resets the color for these icons. When I select one of the default icons, it keeps the original color selection. Likewise, the context menu is still displaying the Segoe default fonts. (in Winaero Tweaker, Advanced Settings, Appearing Settings)
Well, every time I try to open Winaero Tweaker, WinAero Tweaker crashes.
I am running this version on Windows 10 version 1803 and the latest version of Winaero Tweaker. Also, whenever I have the Settings icon in the task bar select the option to hide the windows, it does not actually hide the windows. They are still displayed on the taskbar. Lastly, whenever I go to set a keybinding for the Windows store, the shortcut is not added to the registry. At least I can add it manually, but I would like to use the Winaero Tweaker shortcut for the Store apps.

I can confirm that there are an outstanding issue with Winaero Tweaker. I am a developer on this product and I can confirm you that it is not possible to configure the location of the fonts folder under “app settings”.
As you see, from the first screen we can configure the default fonts, but the fonts folder in order to save configurations should be at this location: “c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Winaero\Tweaker\Fonts”.
After that, you can choose the installation options.
By the way, the most of the times Winaero Tweaker doesn’t work very well, especially when the app is copied from USB.

Have been looking for an app that will allow me to change the settings, have found Winaero Tweaker, haven’t found anything similar, started to play around with the settings, and found an interesting issue with it.
it doesn’t seem to actually change the fonts, it only places a folder with the name of the font, and an empty folder with the name of the application (double quotes)
it does place the file named “util.js” in the “c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Winaero\Tweaker\Fonts” folder. this is a javascript file, but what does this mean?
if I check inside the “Fonts” folder, is empty.
I find it strange that this app has to place this javascript file, when it should be writing directly to the registry, by changing this setting
“Winaero Tweaker can be installed as a portable app”. But it doesn’t work properly. I’ve tried to check whether I can copy a folder to \appdata\local\wine\win10\Tweaker in its apps folder and to \appdata\local\win10\Tweaker but it does not see the fonts folder, i checked the size of the folder and it didn’t change and then, i’ve followed the steps described in the page https://developer.galex.
